The Visitor Information Centre was opened in 2005. It's a contemporary,
award-winning building showcasing the Kingaroy region and it links directly
to the Kingaroy Shire Art Gallery and the Kingaroy Heritage Museum. Visitor
Information Centre staff are our local tourism ambassadors and they're only
too happy to share their extensive knowledge of the region, as well as help
plan your visits to local attractions.
The Centre has extensive collections of brochures and other information
from local tourism operators; local area maps and a wide range of
giftware. It also has a small theatrette where visitors can view short
films about the area and the peanut industry. From time to time, travelling
film festivals are also screened in the complex.
The Centre also has public toilet amenities, and refreshments can be easily
obtained from any of the cafes, restaurants or hotels located nearby.
