The OESR draw their data from the
Australian Bureau of Statistics
and from many other sources. These include reports provided by Queensland
local government authorities, by Queensland State Government departments
and by Federal Government departments.
In March 2005 the OESR released a report which summarises prior census
data collected about Kingaroy Shire and which compares some of this data
to Queensland state averages. The report also makes some forward
projections for the period 2001 to 2026.
Briefly, the OESR believe that the population of Kingaroy Shire will increase
from 11,808 in 2001 to 14,131 in 2026 - an annual average growth
rate of 0.7%. The report also illuminates areas where Kingaroy Shire
outperforms Queensland state averages and highlights other areas where there's
opportunity for future growth and development.
